Super Church, the Children’s Ministry of KCC
We love kids! Kids of all shapes, sizes and ages. Jesus wants all the children to come to Him and it’s our mission to help them do just that.
“And whoever welcomes in My Name one such child as this, welcomes Me.” Matthew 18:5
The children’s ministry of KCC is staffed with passionate Christians who love children. We desire to make the church experience welcoming, fun and safe where individual children feel the love and care of our volunteers. We endeavour to provide a variety of experiences to reach every child’s learning style, recognising the uniqueness of each child along with God’s gifts and passions that He has put in each one, providing opportunities for them to grow spiritually.
Super Church consists of six departments by age of children ministered to.

Mother’s Room
For newborns and their parents. The volunteers in this room are here to care for the infants when the parents feel comfortable leaving them, or visit with them and help them glean new parenting tips. We have a sleeping room available and comfortable seating for moms to nurse and rock their babies. This room is right off the Ministry Center so parents can hear and see what is going on in the main service.
Baby Church
For crawling infants up to about 18 months. Here, there is room for the babies to move and explore their world in a safe and colourful environment. Our loving staff care for the children’s needs so the parents can enjoy the service.
Toddler Church
18 - 35 months. The kind and gentle volunteers help the children learn to share with each other, as they learn to play alongside the other children. A short story time, simple crafts and snacks related to the lesson are part of the Toddler program, led by committed, enthusiastic volunteers.
Preschool Church
3rd birthday until the start of Kindergarten. In the bright, inviting facility shared with Heritage Christian Preschool, children have the opportunity to play and learn in a variety of centers. Devoted teachers lead a Bible lesson which may include a story, puppet skit, craft, snack and other activities related to the lesson of the day.
Jr. Kids Church
Grades Kindergarten and One. In the room shared with Heritage Christian School’s Kindergarten class, the Bible lesson includes memory verse, story, game or object lesson, craft and related snack. Loving teachers involve the children in learning as they develop relationships with each other in a fun atmosphere.
Kids Church
Grades Two – Six. Using a variety of teaching methods, the class time is fun, interactive and engaging. The teachers lead the children to understand the practical application of the Bible lesson as they are challenged to live out their Christianity on a daily basis.
Staff
All our staff are screened through Criminal Records Checks, personal reference checks, Plan to Protect Training and personal interviews. Volunteers have been in our church a minimum of 6 months.
Events
Family Fun Night: October 31st An evening of fun activities designed to give children an alternative to Halloween. Hay ride, carnival-style games, live entertainment and lots of candy! A great event demonstrating the love of God.
Kids Camp: Spring or Winter; a weekend camp at a rented camp facility for school age children. This has been a very spiritual time for our kids each year as they grow in God and experience His presence in a very real and personal way. They build relationships with each other as they learn to help and work with others.
