- Use What You Love To Reach
Those You Love - an Essay about my experiences
with "the greatest game in the world,"
that is baseball. It is also how the Lord has used what I
love to reach out to those whom I can love. It's
dedicated to my dad - the best coach I've ever had!
- Momentum -
Another story about one of my baseball teams that
illustrates the value of momentum and enthusiasm in the
life of faith.
- A Dad's Priorities - an article I wrote for
our Super Church Newsletter. I employed all the skills of
my limited literary humor to illustrate three very
important priorities in our parenting.
- The War for Independence - this
was the second installment on "A Dad's
Priorities." I received so many comments on the
first article that I was bullied into writing the second.
Here I highlighted the difficult balance of how much
independence do we actually give to our kids.
- Work It Out - an essay on the often
difficult verse to interpret; Philippians 2:12, written
for our Church bulletin.
- Experience or Theology - here I address the
misguided approach towards Christianity that we as
Charasmatics often fall into. Basing our faith on our
experiences rather than on sound theology.
- Who Are We Really Criticizing? - this is my response to one of
those teachers that has nothing but criticism for the
Church. Not our Church in particular but just about every
church.
- The
Importance of a Christian Environment for Your Children - this is an article I wrote for a local Christian Newsletter. It
outlines my arguments for a Christian, as opposed to a
secular, education.
- Discipling the
Disciples #1 - A series of articles teaching the what, when,
where, whys and how's of disciplining our children. The articles first
appeared in the HCS Newsletter.
