Meet us - Pastors at KCC, David Kalamen, Lead Pastor Kelowna Christian Center |
DAVID KALAMEN, LEAD PASTOR I am a pastor’s son, born in Atlantic Canada. As a pastor’s son I saw the Church, its strengths and weaknesses, and developed a strong commitment to personal and ministry integrity. As an Atlantic boy who traveled across Canada, I developed a love for my nation, to see it rise to the height of its calling and impact the world with righteousness. I remain firmly committed to the purity and power of an authentic expression of Christianity.
GREG BITGOOD, ASSOCIATE PASTOR If I had to summarize in one word my passion and commitment to the Lord and KCC, it would be “Discipleship.” I am utterly committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through our educational ministries here in Kelowna through Heritage Christian Preschool, Heritage Christian School and the Global Ministry Training Center. We are reaching thousands of students far beyond our local restrictions through Heritage Christian Online School, BC Online School and soon to be established International Christian Online School. I believe the best way we will change our world is through one young disciple at a time. We are committed to quality education today, empowering the leaders of tomorrow, to transform communities forever, see www.christianthinker.org
ED BERK, ASSOCIATE PASTOR The unfailing love of Jesus Christ transformed my heart from shame to freedom, from emptiness to a rich full satisfying life. The power and presence of the Holy Spirit continues to teach and equip me to be the person I was designed to be. Part of that was coming on staff in 1992. Since then I have been committed to the process of revealing the love of Jesus Christ and seeing you as a unique powerful person created in His image. Here at KCC you will experience His transforming power, the truth that brings freedom and Christ’s love that this family has to offer you.
BRODIE KALAMEN, YOUTH PASTOR I love everything about the Church! I see the Church as a beautiful bride that brings light and flavour to this world. I have been deeply moved with the compassion that Jesus carried for people. He said that many lived as “sheep without a shepherd” and my desire is to become that example of a “good shepherd”. It’s a privilege to work in establishing God’s Kingdom here on earth and I am privileged to work as an ambassador for this cause.
WESLEY AND STACEY CAMBELL, REVIVAL AND PROPHETIC Stacey Campbell speaks with a prophetic voice to this generation and has a passion to teach believers to know how to hear the voice of God through sound teaching and strong values. She is the founder and facilitator of the Canadian Prophetic Council, and serves as an honorary member of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders, presided over by Dr. Peter Wagner and Cindy Jacobs. Stacey has been ordained by Dr. Bill Hammond. Wesley is on the apostolic team of Harvest International Ministries (H.I.M.) under Che Ahn. They are both members of the teaching faculty of the Wagner Leadership Institute and are the International Directors for TheCALL with Lou Engle.
BERNICE WITT, WORSHIP LEADER Worship is a response of the heart that desires to be close with the Lord and His presence – not for what He does but for who He is and what He means to us. (Psalm 27:4) Worship means: “adoration, love, respect, devotion" and I believe that it is along this journey of worship that our eyes are drawn towards heaven and as the Psalmist David said that we “taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalm 34:8). Our music teams are dedicated to forging a pathway in our Sunday services down which our congregation can walk to be inspired and uplifted to love God and His people more. It is out of this place of love that faith for great miracles grows, the supernatural thrives and signs and wonders follow.
MEL PETERSON, WORSHIP LEADER Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” I love to see people achieve their purpose and callings. To step out and succeed in whatever God has called them to do. 20 years ago I was told that I would not sing again. Yet here I am singing and walking out God’s calling and purpose for my life. So the words "I can’t" have no place in my vocabulary. When you are called, you can, no matter what comes your way. So my commitment is to see individuals be victorious, walk out their calling and stand firm with their eyes fixed on God.
PASTOR CHRISTINE BITGOOD, CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES My heart’s desire is to see our children surpass us in the Kingdom of God. As Pastor Brodie once said, “one generation’s ceiling is the next generation’s foundation.” I desire to see our children develop a spiritual, Biblical foundation of who they are and who He wants them to be. I wish for every child to experience God’s very real presence, to know God’s divine plan for their life and to honour Him in service.
PASTOR LINDA WILKINSON, COUNSELING & COMPASSIONATE My main thrust of ministry in recent years has been in helping the Church to diagnose the bondages and wounds and discover freedom in Christ. I am committed to serve at Kelowna Christian Center through Women’s counseling, Life Groups, Connections Center and Healing Prayer teams. I love to work with the teams and have been instrumental in training and reaching out into the community with the gospel and God’s healing.
PASTOR DAN KNORR, STUDENT MINISTRIES/CHAPLAIN I believe in discipling our future! When I was 12 years old my life was radically changed by Jesus. Similar to encounters written of in Acts, I had a ‘suddenly’ experience that I believe students need today. My messages contain themes of Christ’s compassion and Kingdom that challenge teens to be changed by God and then make a change in their world. The Living Word of God - Pastor Daniel Knorr's website
